I haven't Seen This Film But Here is What I Remember

I Haven’t Seen This Film was filmed along the Pacific Highway during a week-long trip. Without reviewing the footage, I wrote down everything I remembered filming and photographed titles at the end of the last roll. I edited the film by hand by remaining faithful to the order of my memory. In short, the entire film was created without my having watched it. The writer/editor has access to the memory and not the image, while the viewer has access to the image but not the memory. The film forms a clumsy alliance between the two parties, each lacking what the other possesses, and explores the nature of memory in this relationship.
